Action Jackson...number FIVE!!!
About two months ago....when most of your friends were having their birthdays...
you began the countdown to July 27th.
Two months.
One month.
Three weeks.
One week.
Five days.
And then it was here...
FIVE YEARS OLD!!!
So much has happened in this last year of life for you, JJ...
you have changed from my sweet little baby boy into my sweet little (tough) guy.
But as you grew this year...your heart was turning soft towards the Lord.
You began to ask questions about sin...the cross...heaven...and forgiveness.
We rejoiced with you this past March, when you asked Jesus to forgive you and become your Savior.
And we marveled in the sincerity of your prayers towards your God at night.
You are still incredibly silly...and love to make everyone laugh.
You are still tenderhearted towards your little sister...even though it is not always reciprocated.
You are growing in your strength...making you a harder opponent when you wrestle your big brother.
You are addicted to Adventures in Odyssey...even trying to pretend to have the entire thing memorized!!!
You are loved...treasured...prayed over...delighted in...and so so so much fun to be around!
Jackson Phillip...our crazy lil five year old...we love you and cannot wait to see all that God will do in your life this next year!!!
May your joy and exuberance always point back to Him...drawing others in with you!
