The Jimenez Family

All of the summer trips are completed.
Camps are over.
Pools are closing.
Curriculum has been delivered.
IT'S TIME TO START SCHOOL!!

Here we go...fall of 2019.
Tyler is a sophomore in high school.
Amy is a freshman.
Jackson is in fifth grade.
Hailey is in third grade.

And some yummy doughnuts to start this year off right!

I LOVE when school starts.
And if they were to tell the honest truth...I think the kids are all ready for school to start.
Summer was super fun...but getting back into routine and schedule is good for us all.

A bonfire with s'mores and silly stories helps to ease us back into school-life.

Hailey's friend, Lexi, joined us for the night.

Towards the end of summer we scouted out the local Walmart for bicycles for all of us.
We did a couple of evening rides as the sun went down and the weather got cooler.
Jason thought we should try out one of the trails near our house.

It seemed like a great idea...until it wasn't.

We had a bit of a comedy of errors.
At some point we got on the wrong trail...the one for EXPERIENCED bike riders.
Experienced we are not!!!
One flew over the handle bars a couple of times and busted his knee pretty badly.
One lost a pedal on her bike and ended up throwing up.
Jason had to carry one kid all the way back to the car.
I had to carry another kid.
And Tyler had to try and carry the extra bikes.
We might hold off on the bike trails for awhile and stick with riding around the neighborhood!

These two thought they deserved some ice cream after that crazy bike ride!!

With the start of school came the start of soccer practice...for Hailey and Amy.
Both are playing at the YMCA and have practice on the same nights.

Hailey got to play with her friend, Ellie McCrory.
They didn't win any games this season...but they sure did have a BLAST together and played hard!

Amy played with her friends, Ella Daley, Helena Siguenza, and Myah Coffey.
Not many games won by this crew either...but they played their hearts out...and laughed a bit too!

A couple of the nights Amy had practice, we rode our bikes to pick up Lexi and head to the park.
On the way, we made sure there was a sign for our friend Ben Bash...running for Matthew's Commissioner.

This year Amy AND Jackson are on the Live Loud team...

it's so fun to watch them lead worship together on Wednesday nights!!

Jackson has been on a baking kick.

He made us some yummy chocolate chip cookies!!!

So glad someone else in the family is a baker!!

School is in session.
Sport season has started.
And I'm eating chocolate chip cookies.
Life is good!!!
