The Jimenez Family

Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

These are the moments to remember forever.

We  take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone.

.We didn't realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun/

The sand may brush off...the salt may wash away...the tans may fade...
but the memories will last forever.

Sometimes memories sneak out of my eyes and roll down my cheeks.

We were beginning to think that our summer would be too busy for a beach trip.
Even though it tends to be a highlight of the summer..
.Jason's schedule didn't have much wiggle room.
But then a week opened up and last minute we packed up and headed to Hilton Head - one of our most favorite beach spots!!

Most schools had already started so the beach front was fairly quiet...

that is...until we got there!!!

Within a day or so, our cheeks were sun-kissed and our shoulders slightly pinkish...

but our hearts full and our faces smiling!!

The place we stayed had several bikes they allowed us to use...so we biked EVERYWHERE!!
In fact, the entire week we were there the van was only used once!

We explored all over the area we were staying in...and on one of our first bike trips (and then on each trip following) we found the general store.

Ice cream and slushies - just what we all needed EVERY afternoon after a bike ride!

It was such a sweet time with the family...making memories and soaking up the sun!

We thought that would sum up our beach adventures for the summer...but then two weeks later...we found ourselves at the beach AGAIN!

This time...with Jason's brother, Joe and his family.

We had SUCH a good time!!!

We spent every day on the beach...building sand castles...playing...learning to surf...and just being together!

The cousins had a BLAST playing together...each of them with a buddy their own age to play with all week long.

The week went by too fast...and ended with a very sad farewell. But we are so thankful that they were able to drive down from New Hampshire and share a week at the beach with us!
