Sometimes life is hard and heavy...
sometimes there are unexplainable tragedies...
sometimes there are floods and tornadoes and loss...
sometimes it seems the news is filled with darkness...
And in the midst of all of that...we give thanks.
Not because it's easy.
Not because we are exempt.
Not because everything goes our way.
But because there is always...always...always something to be thankful for.
So tonight...at church...it was a thankful night.
A night of laughter and fun.
Of lightness.
Of family worship.
Of remembering who we are in community and the joy we share in Christ.
Of making memories together and loving on each other.
Just cause...we can.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,
since as members of one body you were called to peace.
And be thankful.
