We celebrated our sweet Amy girl this weekend with a family party...
some fun presents...
and...what she really wanted...a weekend away with me!! :-)
We left the blustery weather and headed down to the beach for a few days away...just the two of us.
We stayed at a super fun hotel...right on the beach...that had a huge indoor waterpark!
With the weather unpredictable for the weekend, it was so fun to have a warm (albeit steamy) place to play!
We also had some yummy meals...
complete with ice cream sundaes, of course!
But the best part of the entire weekend was the time we had to talk about God's Word.
Amy wanted a purity ring for her eleventh birthday...so we figured it would be a good time to share what purity - from God's standpoint - actually is.
We spent our time talking about Psalm 51:10
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
As we walked along the beach...searching for shells...we talked about God's perfect design for our lives...
to live in fellowship with Him...
having a pure heart.
It was a beautiful weekend...full of treasured memories and sweet fellowship!!!
