The Jimenez Family

The boys in our house love football.
It's not just another sport...something to be casually played...goof off with...toss a ball around...

nope...not at our house.
It is an obsession!
So Tyler and Jackson teamed up with the Mint Hill Mountaineers to play some flash football.

Each of the boys had a great season...

and were challenged by the teams they played against.

It kept Tyler in shape and ready for if he plays tackle again in the fall.

He was quite an asset to the team and thankfully...

this team won far more games then his team in the fall!

Jackson LOVED getting to play football with his buddies.
And his team even won FIRST place in the championship games!!

It was a great season...for both of them!!

After watching the Olympics last summer...
Hailey has been determined to be the next Simone Biles or Gabby Douglas!
She loved watching them flip and fly across the beams or the mat...
and she tried to come up with her own tricks at home.

But then she joined gymnastics...and was able to really start to learn the different tricks!
She learned tumbling...bars...and even some flips.
But her favorite was the CHEESE PIT - which was huge foam pit reserved for the last five minutes of class.

She didn't win the gold medal...but she did have a blast with her team!

Happy Mother's Day to ME!

What a treat it was to celebrate Mother's Day at the beach in Hilton Head.

Soaking up the sun and time with my family was the BEST present I could have been given!!

Jason loves going out in the waves with the kids.
And I love sitting in my chair under the umbrella WATCHING all of the kids in the waves!

Amy was out in the waves for a bit...

but for the most of the time she was completely content reading her book!!

Every trip...every beach...there will always be some sort of castle or creation!

Or in this case...a coliseum!

The main mode of transportation on Hilton Head Island...is the bicycle.
We spent the mornings at the beach or the pool...

and the afternoons exploring the many paths on the island.

We hopped on our bikes when we wanted to go out for lunch...or a yummy ice cream treat!
Having everything so close by made our trips pretty easy!

My special Mother's Day dinner @ Frosty Frog's.

With the beautiful scenery and some sun-kissed faces...

we got some great family photos!

While we were trying to get the "perfect" family photo...we had a visitor swim up.
Alligators are natives to the island and are seen swimming in most of the lagoons there.
Thankfully, this guy was content to merely watch the photo session!

The sun was shining in ALL of our eyes so the pictures did not turn out quite as we had hoped...

but at least we captured some fun memories!

Our last night on the island we went to Fat Baby's Pizza and then onto Sea Pines.

It was the best way to wrap up our HHI trip of 2017.

Here's to more good times and tan lines!!!

Hailey asked for the help of Moana and Maui to celebrate her sixth birthday.
But more than that...she wanted GRAMMIE to be at her party!!
So while she was here watching the kiddos for us as we were cruising...we decided to postpone Hailey's party to include Grammie!

This girl loves her some hula skirts...and flower leis...

on top of that we had Moana boats to put together...

This little cutie was not at all interested in the crafts...

but definitely the balloons!

We also had some fruity leis to put together...

and maybe just a few ended up on the string!

Sophie and Amy helped the younger girls with their crafts.

Darcy and Lucy.

Lily and Lexi.

Lexi and Hailey.

The crazy Mommy hostess.

All of the party moms.

Jason did an amazing job carving the watermelon for the party.
And we had lots of other yummy snacks...

including this beautiful cake made by my friend, Angela!

After crafts and snacks, we played some games...

which Jason was so good at facilitating!

Hailey and Annalyse.
It was a super fun time celebrating our girl....hula style!

And we were so glad that Grammie was here to help say...YOU'RE WELCOME!!
