Spring is sure to follow...
It has been a long winter. I know it comes every year...and most times I enjoy it wholeheartedly. I love sweaters and jeans...hot cocoa and pie...snuggly blankets and warm fires. But after awhile...I am ready for newness of life. For freshness. For rebirth. For pops of color and multiple shades of green clashing with the brilliant blue sky. For long afternoons spent playing outside. So while there is always going to be winter...spring is sure to follow!
Thankfully....we've had plenty of things to keep us busy...even in the midst of cold, rainy days!
We've had birthday parties...and friends to celebrate!
We've had tea parties (furnished with Amy's special new tea set!).
And smack dab in the middle of all our fun...Jackson got glasses!!!
He was actually excited to get them...taking his place in the male Jimenez tradition.
And he is still the cutest kid on the block...with those chubby cheeks and sweet lil smile...the glasses are a perfect addition!
Now Hailey wants her own pair...but we had to settle for safety goggles!
We've had friends coming to stay! Our sweet little Blythe came for several days...and was an immediate part of the family!
In fact, there were several times during her stay that the little kids asked if we could just adopt her :-)
And of course, Amy always has a creative idea up her sleeve. Be it imaginary play...scavenger hunts...craft ideas...or a play to put on...she gets everyone involved...and has a ton of fun!
Now we are holding our breath...waiting for those warm spring days.
