Spoiled Rotten...
Whenever Grammie and Poppy Jimenez come to stay...
we ALL get spoiled rotten! :-)
We counted down the days until they arrived.
Prepared the cinnamon rolls.
Rearranged furniture and schedules.
Washed the sheets.
Cleaned the house.

And then ticked off the minutes until the FUN began!!!
We had no outings planned for their visit here.
Just "together" time.
Talk time.
Reading time.
Eating time. (which we did plenty!)
Snuggling time.
And lots and lots of playing time.
We soaked them up as much as could.
Trying to make the memories imprint on our hearts and minds.
We are so blessed to have such amazing parents...that pour out their love, their time, their energy, their vacation, their prayers, and their friendship onto us.
Spilling over and blessing our children and all those around us.
Thankfully, Uncle Jeremy was able to join us most evenings...which kicked up the fun gear several notches!
Having been here all of two hours...Poppy had already stopped to buy some firecrackers!
He wanted to make sure the grandkids remembered this trip...
...at first Jackson was a little hesitant..
probably because...
...the mailbox looked like it was catching on fire...or it could have been...
...Poppy was chasing everyone around with snappers...
...but pretty soon...everyone joined in on the fun...
...trying to get back at the instigator!!! ;-)
The hardest part about any visit...is the farewell.
And as each child gets older...
the goodbyes get more pronounced...the hugs get more teary...
and the parting gets harder and harder!
It was a treasured week.
A sweet gift of family.
Filled with lifelong memories.
Not soon to be forgotten.
