Do you wanna build a snowman...

We have heard this song for the last several weeks. It seems to be the theme song as of late...Hailey sings it at the top of her lungs while she's running around playing...Jackson sings it while trying to get Hailey's attention....Amy sings it while actually building a snowman...and Tyler singing it to make fun of Amy...and I just seem to have it ALWAYS stuck in my head!!!

But we HAVE had plenty of snow lately...so this warrants the song being sung at full capacity. We had a little bit of prelude in January to the deluge we had in February. And I am hoping that will be the end of the snow for the season!!!

With the first snowfall, the kids were disappointed that it didn't stick or stay for very long. But several weeks later we had almost a foot of snow...that stayed for about three days. Thankfully, we were snuggled up in our house with plenty of hot cocoa...games to be played...movies to watch...and family time to stock up on!!

Jason bundled up the kids an traipsed around looking for the best sledding spot. Technically it wasn't really sledding as we don't actually own a sled...but boogie boards worked well too! Thankfully, Jason's tolerance for falling temperatures are higher than mine...so the kids had a super fun time playing with Daddy all afternoon!

All Hailey wanted to do was eat...and eat...and eat. Almost every picture we took of Hailey had her trying to catch the snow on her tongue!
That night, we scooped up a bowl of fresh snow, poured in some sugar and milk...and voila...we had fresh ice "snow"cream!!! Delish!

In the midst of the blustery weather. Jason hosted the first Marketplace Forum at the end of January. re|shift ministries and several others partnered together to bring together Christian business men and women from all around Charlotte. The vision behind Marketplace is to embolden and equip Christians in order that they might share their faith more openly in the workplace.
This Forum had several prominent business men on the panel discussing the different obstacles they have faced and how to overcome them. It was a great turnout for the first one...and those that were there left encouraged...and emboldened to share their faith more openly!

Jason has been praying about the next step for re|shift and was approached about the opportunity to do radio. There is much to be learned...and what better place then the NRB? The National Religious Broadcasters Convention! Graciously someone took care of our tickets, our hotel, and even our gas...so how could we say no!
It was an incredible time of absorbing as much information as we possibly could. God opened our eyes to show much and we were so blessed to have several encounters with key people that is helping us with some decisions that are up ahead.
The entire weekend was such a blessing! The hotel was absolutely GORGEOUS and we reveled in the time we were able to spend together.

So WHERE WERE THE KIDS???

The kids were busy making their own fun with all of their friends! Each of them were able to spend the weekend with their best buds...getting spoiled rotten! :-) It is such a blessing to have such wonderful friends that love on our kids and make such special memories with them.
It was a weekend that we will not soon forget...and neither will the kids!!
