Summer catch up...
It is hard to believe that summer has already reached it's crescendo and now is rushing towards its end.
School supplies are on display in almost every store ...
and boxes are arriving at our house filled with a new year's worth of learning.
But we are not QUITE ready to say goodbye to summer...
or all of the fun times we have had...
playing with friends...
And enjoying plenty of water balloon fights!
We are not ready to say goodbye to the lake just yet either...
Our dear friends, the Colemans, host us at their beautiful lake house throughout the year.
And while they think the draw is hanging out on the water...it truly is hanging out with THEM!
Jason and I have been blessed by their friendship for all of the eight years we have lived here in Charlotte.
They have loved on us...advised us...encouraged us...counselled us...and been AMAZING to our children!
Of course...we don't mind that they live on the lake! :-)
This summer, Jason started a Sunday night tradition.
For the last two months, we have gathered with several other families to have some good ole fashion fun...
What always begins as a light-hearted...easy going game of soccer involving all of the family...
usually ends up a cut throat, muscle-pulling, sweat-dripping, skill-challenging competition!
And while everyone does NOT leave a winner...we all leave having had a BLAST of a time!
Thankfully, there are still a few more nights of play before the summer officially closes!
