Family on the move...
This past spring was the first season that we have had THREE kids in different sports. Tyler and Jackson played flag football and Amy played soccer. Most Saturdays found us on the fields for the entire day! But the kids had a blast...so it was well worth it!
Tyler...
This season for Tyler was...a character builder. He played the hardest he could as quarterback...receiver...and defender but lost every game.
He had a great team...and some super fun coaches...but no "W's" to win. It was hard for Tyler each week to watch victory slip through their fingers...literally. But he took it well and cheered on his teammates.
He definitely improved this year...with his throwing abilities and his speed.
And he was an immovable defender.
All in all...Tyler had a great season!
Jackson...
Jackson on the other hand...won every single game they played.
The challenge wasn't as difficult as Tyler's :-) but JJ played with just as much heart!
He played for the orange team...but often had to be "traded" to the opposite team for lack of players.
Whoever he played for...he played awesome.
Grabbing flags. Running down the field with the ball. Blocking runners.
Jackson's games were first up every Saturday morning. Most of the time, he and I would head out early...and the rest of the family joined us during halftime.
This allowed for several impromptu dates at Dunkin Donuts to fuel up the player! :-)
Amy...
Amy was hesitant about playing soccer this season. She has only played once before when she was quite a bit younger. But we have been playing soccer as a family for awhile...and has shown some real talent for it.
She did amazing!!!
We were so proud of her for jumping in with both feet and trying her hardest each game.
She was the loudest cheerleader for her team...learning all of her teammates names in the first week!
She even volunteered to be goalie several times.
She was fearless with the ball and improved significantly!
Hailey...
Even though she didn't play sports this season...Hailey attended each game...
cheered loudly for each sibling...
helped celebrate every victory...
and made many trips to the bathroom! :-)
Spring Sports 2015 now ended...Saturday mornings will find us in our pajamas...for most of the day!
