Love Does...
Jackon and Hailey were asked to be special greeters for a very important guest....Bob Goff!!!
Before he came to the church, the kids made special cards to welcome him...as well as decorations all over the green room.
Hailey and Jackson were super excited to be a part of this welcome team.
They received his book, Love Does for Kids, and had read ALL of his stories.
It almost felt like they already knew him...so they were thrilled to be able to actually meet him!

The kids each wore a different color and waited for him to come up the stairwell...
and there he was!!
He was so kind and loving with each of the kids.
Asking them their names. Their grades. Their favorite story in the book. So personal!
The kids then laid hands on him and prayed over him before he spoke.
He told the kids the story about why he poses this way in each picture.
Sweet Maria, his wife, does not travel with him but she gets to see all of his pictures on social media.
As a way to honor his wife and live above reproach - whenever Bob takes a picture with anyone he throws his arms out in the air!
In this picture, the kids were saying "hi" to Sweet Maria!!
Shannon and I herded the special greeters onto the stage to be a part of a fun balloon popping challenge.
It was such a fun night...but also very convicting with the challenges Bob shared.
His passion for people is contagious. His stories are hilarious while poignant.
He is intentional and present...and told us that every single time his phone rings
(outside of when he is speaking) he answers it.
It was refreshing to hear his heart for truly living out his faith.
Love is never stationary.
In the end, love doesn’t just keep thinking about it or keep planning for it.
Simply put: love does.
