Field Trip...

One of Amy's birthday presents was a membership to Discovery Place and Discovery Place Kids. We decided to take a break from school for a day and headed out for our first official field trip. The location of the field trip was left as a surprise until we pulled into the parking lot. Even then, the kids weren't sure exactly where we were going. But once we walked into the door...the excitement kicked in!

There was so much to do that no one quite knew where to go first. In fact...there were three Jimenez children running in three separate directions!

First off, was the water table (and of course, this was revisited throughout the rest of the day!)

Then we headed to the farm. We collected eggs from the chickens, milked the cow, picked apples, and took a ride on a tractor.
Then onto the grocery store. There was a LOT to purchase here! We spent quite a long time gathering the necessary supplies! :-)
They got all they needed to head over to the diner and start making Mommy's lunch!

Jackson was anticipating a very yummy meal!
We headed over to the gymnastics/aerobics area next to burn off all our food!
I tried to get a shot of Jackson doing the aerobic video...but I couldn't get it! It was hilarious!!!
We took a trip underwater in a submarine!
Soon we heard the sirens and jumped in to lend a hand to the firefighters!
Then Dr Jackson decided it was his turn to GIVE the shots - instead of receiving the shots!
He's an expert now!
A very silly puppet show!

And story time!

So, our very first field trip was a blast! I'm not sure that we'll be able to follow it up with another exciting adventure but we still have Discovery Place to visit!
