Time for tea...
Come for tea...come for cakes...Come and help CELEBRATE!!!
This last weekend we had a tea cocoa-party for Amy's sixth birthday. She invited a small amount of friends (along with a doll of choice to accompany them) to come over for a short respite from their weary days of childhood! :-)
Before drinking their cocoa, Jason made the kids go on a scavenger hunt to find their cups! Then once found, they decorated their mugs to their liking...this was a very serious undertaking! :-)
Of course, every cocoa-party needs servers! Tyler and his friend, Steven, dressed up in their Sunday "duds" and prepared their finest manners to serve the ladies! Jelly sandwiches, crusted cheese toast, bagels with strawberry cream cheese, and several other choice tastes were on the menu.
There was a lot of giggling and silliness coming from the dining room. We tried to give the girls as much privacy as possible...only interrupting with the occasional "cocoa-spill-clean-up" crew. As it was, we did hear a smattering of conversations and they were so super sweet and girly!
After "tea", it was time for cakes!!! And of course, the birthday song!

When all the bellies were full, we played a rousing game of charades (hilarious with five and six year olds).
Then on to PRESENTS!
