Ushering in the Spring...

It is hard to believe that we are on the cusp of spring!!!
February was a bit of a blur...so much packed into the shortest month of the year!

Jason and I were incredibly blessed by a weekend getaway with some amazing friends!
The fellowship was wonderful, the games were silly, the conversation was endless...and the FOOD...delicious! :-)

We were also able to visit the beautiful Biltmore Estate...which I have been BEGGING to see from the moment we moved here! It is a bit out of our price range for a "day-outing"...but some very gracious friends gave us some FREE tickets!!!

Which of course, made the day even more enjoyable!
A flurry of snowflakes surrounded us as we drove through the grounds and approached the house...and I had to pinch myself from thinking I was back in my beloved England!!!
The weekend was definitely a treasured memory-maker...thanks to our super good friends!

February was also filled with a bit of crafting! (Gasp...yes, on occasion...I do engage in craft activities...but generally, only when there is a holiday approaching!!! :-)

There were some very special cards made...

...for some very special people...

...made by very serious children!! :-)

February also had it's share of FIRSTS...
...Tyler is learning how to write his first cursive words...

Amy tried her hand at knitting...(definitely a first)...

...notice that it is not her momma that is teaching her...that would definitely be a marked FIRST!!!

And I am proud to FINALLY say...February marked the FIRST month of no pull-ups - even at night time! (HUGE sigh of relief...yes, you remembered correctly...it has been almost a full year of this! :-)

And this Lil Miss is trying to stand on her own two feet...without the help of anyone else...

...it is very brief...so for picture's sake she did have some assistance!

February also brought Jason's much anticipated trip to Brazil.
He was asked to go with Dr Geisler as he spoke at a large Christian Conference in Campina Grande.
But once the director of the conference found out that Jason is a youth pastor...he was asked to join in the line up of speakers.

Jason was humbled and blessed to join his mentor and hero of the faith on this trip.

The Consciencia Crista is a huge event that attracts Brazilians from all over the country.
They estimated that about 60,000 people were there on any given day...either under the tents, in the
break-out sessions, in the Tabernacle, or at the People's Park.

Jason was able to teach the youth three times while on this trip.
He was amazed at their passion for the Lord and their hunger for His truth.

Jason was also able to meet other pastors and youth pastors from the area...and other countries.
They swapped stories, prayed with each other, shared truths and ministered to each other like only fellow laborers can.
It was an incredible, life-changing trip!!

And now...spring seems to be upon us!
Which brings another flurry of activity just awaiting around the bend...
