Who Is that Masked Man?
The Jimenez family is notorious for last minute party planning.
We know the birthday is on the calendar...we know that we should be planning a party...we know we should send out all the invites...but somehow it's always left to the last minute.
Texts are sent...frantic shopping is done...scouring of Pinterest and the internet is accomplished...and a party is thrown!
This year, Jackson wanted a Superhero Party.
Granted...that's what he wanted the FIRST time I asked him...
once I had made the second trip to the Dollar Tree...it was Despicable Me, Monsters Inc, or Woody & Buzz.
I stuck with superheroes.
And we even crossed Justice League and Avengers for this one! :-)
Jackson was hilarious.
The night before our neighbor had given us a bag of old costumes.
The only one that really fit JJ was Spiderman...so low and behold...the Spiderman!
He greeted everyone at the door in full costume.
People were laughing from the onset of the party!!!
We had each of the kids decorate their own mask and if they wanted...put on a cape.
Then they decked out their arms with superhero tattoos.
Next, we played some fun "superhero" games.
The villain...aka Jason...stole two "bombs" and threatened to set them off if not captured.
He left clues for all the kids to find him.
Thankfully, they found him in time...and rather than blowing them up...he smashed them on the ground and candy came out!!!
We also played a Kryptonite hunt (I know...totally Superman...sorry!!).
The kids had to find all of the Kryptonite in the yard...but they couldn't touch it with their bare hands or else they would lose their powers...so they had to wear oven mitts...then transport it back to the planet of Krypton!
Finally, the kids squirted the "bad guys" out of the garage!!
It was super fun...and super exhausting! :-)
We celebrated our Action Jackson with an action packed party!!!
Happy 4th Spiderman!!!
